It’s August, and we’ve still got CUCUMBERS?!

Well, it’s officially hot in Texas. We haven’t seen rain in East Texas in several weeks, but y’all, the cucumber vines are still producing! They are still flowering out and there are still cucumbers growing – and it was 105 degrees today! Now, not all of them are producing… many of the vines are crispy. Not all of the cucumbers are the most beautiful, BUT we still have a surprising amount of both pickling cucumbers and lemon cucumbers. I’ve run out of jars! The pantry is filled with jars of dill pickles. If you like pickles, these are some of the best. Everyone who has taken home a jar has told me how fast they go around their house.
